About Kathy

Family: I live with my two Cairn Terriers (Reggie and Margo) and my cat (Rose). Was born and raised in London but now my parents live in Tillsonburg. My two dogs are named after a Stompin’ Tom song (“Margo’s Got the Cargo and Reggie’s Got the Rig”). My mother chose their names. I was not familiar with the song until I got the dogs. Not sure if this had anything to do with why they moved to Tillsonburg………….

What do you like about living in the area? I like the lifestyle in London. There are lots of things to do but it’s still small enough that you don’t have to deal with a traffic jam every time you go somewhere. You are a short drive to Toronto or the US border and there are tons of golf courses in the area. It’s a safe place to live with lots of parks, walking paths and greenspace. Cost of living is reasonable and if you need something it’s here!

Favourite Restaurants: I try to frequent local spots to support local business. The Springs for steak. Roll Roll for sushi. Pizzeria Madre for pizza. Milos for an amazing burger and huge selection of craft beers. Anderson Craft Ales for a quick bite in a cool spot. London has TONS of great restaurants for whatever mood you're in.

Hobbies and favourite things to do: #1 is Golf. Sometimes golf is about the walk, sometimes the game and sometimes it's just the company. No matter what it's a great way to spend time outside. Working out is a big deal for me and spin class replaces golf in the winter months. Walking the dogs. I cannot start a puzzle without finishing it-it's a problem! Reading a good book. Scrabble and cribbage……..game on!

Dream Vacation: Would love to go anywhere with a bit of adventure. Peru, China, Turkey......that kind of thing. Also Paris, Milan or anywhere else with good shopping and food!

Other than a family member, dead or alive, who would you like to have dinner with? The Queen of England. I think she has been through so much and seen so many things change that it would be an amazing conversation. Plus regardless of your political leanings you cannot deny that she is a strong woman that has definitely held her own over the years.
